Smitty K’s is the invention of childhood friends Cody Kerr and Robbie Smith. Always known for their backyard barbeques it wasn’t long before they began toying with the idea of maybe starting up a food truck and selling some of their famous among friends BBQ sandwiches. After doing their research they settled on opening a brick-and-mortar establishment in the heart of Texas A&M country. They would focus on offering their unique stylings of a wide-ranging selection of mouth-watering dishes, while offering their customers a place to stay and enjoy games, live music and great company.
With the support of friends, family and their community, Smitty K’s became a reality and opened their doors September of 2014. With such an inviting atmosphere and amazing food, it didn’t take long before Smitty K’s became THE location for A&M game day watch parties. With over 20 television locations all sports enthusiasts are certain to be entertained while watching their preferred sport.
As time went on and word got out it wasn’t long before live music became a staple of Smitty K’s. With both outdoor and indoor stages weather is never a deterrent for customers looking for fantastic live entertainment. Cody and Robbie have started booking some major names in the Texas music scene. Jason Eady, Adam Hood, Micky and the Motorcars, Austin English, Will Banister, are just a few who you might catch playing for the crowd on any given weekend.
